This number says it’s from some debt help company and claims they got your details from the DRF (Debt Resolution Forum). The moment you ask who they really are, they just hang up. So I called back and asked again how they got my number, and they repeated the same story. I looked into it more and found out the Debt Resolution Forum wouldn’t actually have your number or all your personal info like these scammers say. My tip? Don’t give them anything, they’ll probably just sell your info and drain your bank account if you’re not careful.

Total scam! Received a call where they inquired about my issues, but before I knew it, they were pushing debt, credit cards, and trying to get me enrolled in a payment scheme. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I even told them I’m underage and will have my carer handle things, but they still tried pushing me to sign up for an IVA. They just won't take no for an answer. It’s proper annoying and feels like harassment.

Got a call asking for my ex. I said they’d got the wrong number, but they kept going, saying there’s some government thing to clear debts. Gotta give them credit, they were pretty polite about trying to sell that even when it was the wrong person. Ended up blocking them and not bothering anymore.

If you weren’t broke before talking to these lot, you probably will be afterwards!! This con has to be reported to the police via action fraud so they can track it. Just search ‘action fraud’ online, go to the ‘police.uk’ website, click on the ‘report’ button, pick the phishing option, then scroll past the scam email details to send it in. It’s quick, simple and no need to sign up. Be careful out there and do your bit by reporting every one of these scams trying to pinch our money.

Caller knew my first name and said hes from Initial Advice, some debt help firm wanting to combine debts. I told him to take me off their call list. He was quite polite and said he would do it, then wished me a nice day.

Someone rang my partner saying they were from a firm named Initial Advice, which they said was linked to Citizens Advice. They called my partner’s phone but didn’t say anything when we picked up. I rang them back on my own phone and the person on the line started telling me they could set up an IVA for my partner, even though my partner hasn’t asked for this at all. When I asked where they had gotten my partner’s number from, they just ended the call.

I picked up and the bloke on the other end asked for my name and why I was ringing him?! I told him he was the one who called me and then I just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now and I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Don’t bother talking to them, just ignore.
