I received a rather dubious call claiming that I was owed over £5000 in PPI. They suggested they could pop over to my place with a cheque but would need me to fork out £300 for the 'service'. They even inquired if it would be more convenient to come to my office instead. Just a word of caution: don't part with any cash!

This lot are total fraudsters. I got a call from them saying I’d been accepted for a loan, which was rubbish. They claimed my credit score was rubbish too, which it definitely isn’t. Then they tried to convince me I had to get insurance for this supposed loan. When I told the guy it was a con, he threatened he already had my bank details and would set up a direct debit to drain my account. Proper nasty people.

I keep getting calls every week from Biotonic asking why I haven’t sent back some ‘winning prize’ slip. It’s definitely a scam, they try to sell overpriced skincare stuff that’s not worth the money. Seriously, avoid them or you’ll end up losing cash for nothing. The calls come from some robot-like guy saying he’s the BIOTONIC Managing Director or something.

WATCH OUT, this number is linked to a dodgy marketing scheme pushing alternative health products from Belgium. Different firms like Biotonic, Our Life and TV Vitality have been using it, pretending to ring from the Manchester area. Usually, they call early in the morning around 8:05am UK time. The person on the call introduces himself as Louis Erkla, supposedly the CEO, but that’s just a made-up name. Even if you don’t pick up, you’ll get a voicemail saying a letter is on its way which, if you reply to straight away, says you’ll get a cheque for £15,500 or £20,500. The letter comes through but is cleverly worded to trick you into thinking you’ve already bagged the big cheque. The UK Home Office and Trading Standards warn not to buy into it because the only thing you’ll end up with is a £1 voucher that you can only use to order more products from them, usually overpriced.
