Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from UKPR, saying it had something to do with grant-funded maintenance work. When I asked, he just stuck to that story. Seriously, don’t hand over any personal details to these people.

Got called 4 times already today, didn’t pick up on any, no voicemail left either. After seeing what others have said, I’m convinced it’s a scam and could be risky if you get mixed up with them. Stay alert!

Got a call from this UK property firm, and honestly, they couldn’t give me a clear answer. I told the bloke I wasn’t interested at all. Then about ten minutes later, I get another call as a follow-up. The guy insisted someone told him I wanted a property survey done. I told him he was completely wrong and that he was just wasting my time. I prefer to sort out my own surveyors and builders, not trust some random cold call.

They claimed they’d conduct an inspection and if there were repairs needed on the roof or walls, I could qualify for a 30% grant. I wanted to know who funds their surveys - are they paid on commission from the builders they recommend? They said no, it’s not commission-based. So I asked again, where exactly does the money come from to cover their fees? They just replied vaguely about grants. When I pressed them a third time for specifics, they just repeated the same lines. I told them I wasn’t going to continue the call since they weren’t answering properly and ended the call.

Today at 9:36AM, this number rang me. It was one of those automated messages that never says who’s calling or why. The message said no advisor was free - which sounded like a load of rubbish - and then went on offering an email address to stop any more calls. I didn’t bother jotting down the email. Like anyone is gonna trust giving out their details to these lot! I’m registered with TPS as well, but honestly, it doesn’t seem to make any difference!

They still bothered to call once more. They said they were from UK Property Service or something like that. I got a really dull, monotone voice on the other end asking if I was Mrs ###. I told them no, then they wanted to speak to her anyway, nope. Then if Mr ### was about, also no. When’ll he be home? No idea. After some awkward humming, they just hung up. Not great if they were trying to sell something, but at least no hassle for me. Just one of those annoying pointless calls.
