We get endless scam and spam calls like this. I’ve reported them to the proper authorities. Sometimes they help, other times they say there’s not much they can do with the details I provide. I received a ring from this number bright and early at 9.45 this morning. Thankfully, I've got myself a BT 8500 Call Guardian, which is an absolute lifesaver. It screens all incoming calls that aren't saved in my contacts, asking the caller to identify themselves. Once it reveals who they are, I can choose not to pick up if I don’t recognise them. Investing in this phone has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders regarding incessant nuisances, and I must say, it has become my most valued companion. You don’t need to be a BT subscriber for it to function, and being in my 70s, I’m certainly not keen on being overwhelmed by such calls.

Rang me at the crack of dawn, around 8 AM, claiming to be from Ofcom, promising to boost my broadband speed. They insisted I hop on my computer straight away-clearly hoping I'd give them access to my device (not a snowball’s chance in hell!). Loads of calls like this at strange times. This one was an Indian woman, but basically same message as before. Her accent was hard to catch, but I caught that if I gave her a bit of time, she promised no more calls from that number! Told her I was expecting a call and couldn’t chat. Just received an unexpected call from this number a mere ten minutes ago. I chose not to pick up - and I’m rather glad I opted out, judging by the comments here! It rang for what felt like an eternity before abruptly disconnecting, with nary a word spoken.

That makes it three calls from three separate numbers in the last thirty minutes. I had already looked into the first two (this was the second), and both seemed rather suspect. I plan to investigate the third one once I’m finished here. Given that it had an international dialling code (003158839090), I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be dodgy as well. (And surprise, surprise, it is indeed fishy!)

It seems the scammers took a break for Christmas, but they’re back in full swing today. I hadn't received any dubious calls for a while, and now here I am, with three before midday...

This number has buzzed my phone a few times with silent calls. Once, a bloke with an Indian accent but a very English name spoke to me. Didn't cut the call, just put the phone down and let him rabbit on by himself. The TPS doesn’t do anything about overseas calls or those survey ones anyway. I wasn’t having any of it, so I rapidly terminated the call and saved the number in my contacts as 'Survey' to play it safe for any future calls. Just moments ago, my phone rang again from the same number, and before they could utter a word, I cut in with, 'I’m not interested in doing surveys over the phone, thank you very much.' To which the rather accented individual remarked, 'What are you afraid of?' I chose not to engage. Then, in a chilling turn, he threatened, 'I AM GOING TO KILL YOU.' Can you believe that? Got a call about a consumer survey, told them I wasn’t interested. The person on the other end got really rude and said they’d keep ringing until I did the survey. Proper horrible people. Definitely not picking up if they call back.

I've been getting loads of calls every day from this firm. Asked to speak with a manager and told him to remove my number from their list. He said he would, but less than an hour later I got another call. It's some marketing lot trying to get me to do a survey.

I received a call from this number earlier today at precisely 09:55. Thankfully, the BT Call Guardian system kicked in, and since the caller didn’t bother to introduce themselves, the call was cut off. I've gone ahead and blocked this number to prevent any further nuisance. I would certainly advocate for the BT Call Guardian System; I purchased it and set it up on my cordless phone, and it’s been a game-changer!

I've been getting a number of silent calls at all hours, which is particularly frustrating when you’re on the night shift! When they do actually say something, it's just abuse because I refuse to engage with their questions. Surely there's a way to put an end to all this nonsense?

Earlier today, I picked up the phone and let them know that the individual they were trying to reach was unfortunately unavailable due to his passing just the night before (totally fabricated, of course). I mentioned that I was his caretaker, although I'm not quite certain what the modern term is for such a role these days. One thing's for sure, though - it's definitely not anything remotely close to a rude expletive!

I've been receiving calls from this number multiple times each month, and they always seem to be looking for someone named Mr. Branch. When I inform them they've dialled incorrectly, they mention they're conducting a survey and then proceed to ask for my personal details, like my name and address. Naturally, I decline to provide any information and request that they remove my number from their list. However, the callers tend to become quite aggressive, insisting they'll keep ringing until I participate in their survey. Interestingly, the individuals on the other end have strong accents that sound distinctly Indian. I'm at a loss-how can I put an end to these incessant calls? I've even signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, but it hasn't made a jot of difference.

This particular number seems to ring me a couple of times daily, often at the same hours. It's incredibly frustrating! With my disability, it’s quite a challenge for me to answer the phone, and wouldn’t you know it, it’s them yet again. Normally, I wouldn’t bother to get up, but I’m anxiously awaiting an important call.

Said he was calling from Computer Safe over in Wolverhampton, something to do with Coquetdale - I tried asking for the full address but his accent made it impossible to understand. Rings me up daily even tho I'm registered on the do not call list.

Every time we pick up, they simply end the call. It's infuriating that such lowlifes continue to operate with impunity. One has to wonder about the efficacy of Ofcom and the police; it feels like a colossal waste of resources. Why on earth isn't the government taking action to stamp this out?

Received a rather unpleasant phone call from this one - they were downright rude and aggressive. Definitely the most awful telemarketer I've encountered!

This number has been relentless, despite me clearly stating I'm not interested in engaging with them or answering any of their inquiries. They've resorted to aggressive shouting and even screaming, which is quite frankly unacceptable. I was informed that the only way to halt these incessant calls was to comply with their demands for answers. Strangely, another number has been harassing me in the same way - 01729568147. Interestingly enough, both callers abruptly ended the conversation once I mentioned that I would be lodging a complaint with Ofcom.

Oi, Ken, whatever you do, don’t even think about ringing that number again! It’s a total con, and calling them back will cost you an arm and a leg. They’ve got an Indian accent but pretend to have a posh English name. Just steer clear of this dodgy business - it’s a scam through and through!

Got a silent call with a recorded voice saying it was for some market research - defo not from any legit MRS registered firm. Makes real market research look dodgy.
