Just like someone else mentioned, I received a call supposedly from HMRC. The individual had a thick Indian accent and was quite pushy in their tone. It feels like a dodgy scam operation originating from India.

This company is quite persistent, constantly ringing us to persuade us to apply for R&D tax credits. It’s not actually free - they take a percentage from whatever rebate you get. Plus, there’s some risk involved. If you go ahead with their “assistance” and your claim turns out to be fraudulent, you’re still on the hook for it. Remember, this is HMRC we're dealing with, not some free money. So watch out!

Today, I received a call from this number, and on the other end, a person claimed to be from MHC Tax. They wanted to inquire about a few things, but I politely declined. After I said no, they apologised and hung up. Quite strange, really!

R&D Company, really persistent salesman trying to convince me my accountant hadn’t mentioned some relief (not true, my accountant’s brilliant). They were really pushy. I told them last week “no thanks, it’s sorted” but then got another call the next day where I had to explain again I’ve already claimed the relief. Definitely NOT a free service (obviously). They didn’t accept my refusal, so I told them to take me off their list, and I’ll report them to GDPR if they keep contacting me.

Got a call earlier today, and to be sure, i asked my accountant first before going any further. Turns out my accountant knows shencoh well - they’re partners who help with R&D rebates and tax credits for his clients. Sounds like a proper trustworthy business! Got called by a firm named Shenco - the sales tactics were way too forceful for my liking. They say they know loads about R&D Tax, but I’m not sure if they’re on the level. Tried to get rid of them but ended up missing about 10 calls all within five minutes yesterday! They don’t bother leaving any voicemail either and totally ignore a simple “no thanks”. They even said I’d be crazy not to use their service. Honestly, their persistence was too much, and I’d never want to deal with anyone who’s that pushy or intense!

She said she was calling for HMRC about something called R&D relief that lets you claim back 24.7% of expenses from testing new products or methods. She mentioned that the scheme allows you to get that money back even if you haven't paid any tax yet! It all seemed really dodgy to me, like a scam!

I've been receiving incessant phone calls from a firm known as Shenco Associates. They're becoming quite the nuisance, ringing us on a daily basis and it's really beginning to get on my nerves. So, whenever they ring, I’ve taken to giving them a taste of their own medicine-ringing them back and asking for some random individual. I then casually mention that I’ll return the call later and promptly hang up. I reckon if enough folks join in on this little prank, they might just take the hint and ease off.
