Got three missed calls from this number, looked it up online and seems to be a scam from MCR. Blocked it straight away. Best to not pick up calls from strangers, always check who they are online first, then maybe ring back if you think it’s legit. Otherwise, just wait - real people usually ring again if it’s important.

Had a call from some robotic voice, no clue who it was but definitely seemed like a scam. When I didn’t answer it, the voice said I was being rude 😂 Honestly, the rude bit is making these random calls, chattering away forever without checking if anyone’s actually listening, then branding me rude for just trying to end the call and mind my own business 🙃

A caller, sporting a noticeable foreign accent, rang me up and inquired about any debts I might have picked up during the pandemic. Curiously enough, she called me John, which isn’t my name. I let her know I wasn’t in any financial trouble. She expressed her gratitude before abruptly ending the call. Quite the odd exchange, if you ask me!

They knew my name and claimed to be from some government dept dealing with debts, trying to find out if I owed anything on credit cards or similar. When I asked where they got my info, the woman said she’d ask her manager and then told me it was from some consumer national database. I had to keep telling them three times to remove me from their calls because they kept pushing if I had debts, which I wouldn’t say, just said I didn’t need any help and stayed calm. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

This number has rung my landline (which I never pick up) two mornings running - no voicemail left. I’m ex-directory. It also called my mobile the same two mornings, just minutes after the landline rings. I don’t answer unknown numbers anyway. That’s 4 calls over 2 days! I always report these annoying calls to https://ico.org.uk, and if I think it’s a scam or risky, I also tell https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/. We need to report these sorts of calls to help stop them. Only then might these scammers get caught.

Got a call from this number, a woman claiming she was calling from an English number but actually based in Tenerife. She was pushing a free week in Tenerife if you book before May 2020 and was offering legal help to recover money supposedly tied up in a timeshare in Malta. I asked her to email me the info but she couldn’t send anything. She said her name was Jennifer but gave no other details. She promised to ring back later, but I’ve blocked the number now.

Oh, it’s luxury linx once more. They say they’re just a holiday firm setting up trips to Tenerife so you can chat to solicitors (but they don’t seem to have a clue about these solicitors or any way to reach them) for free, supposedly to help you cancel timeshares. I kept them going for a bit then told them I wasn’t bothered.
