Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from IVA experts. He asked if they were connected to the FCA and tried to persuade me they were. However, after I asked a few sharp questions, it was obvious he hadn’t a clue about it. I never share any financial details on the phone, so I told him off and ended the call sharpish.

I got a call from some debt help company, but it felt like I was talking to a bot. When I asked how they got my phone number, it just cut me off. I don’t have any unsecured debts, and they didn’t even seem bothered when I said that. Then when I told them the amount I owe, it said they couldn't assist with that sum. Very odd experience.

This number keeps phoning me non-stop. They claim to be from Assist Direct (sounds a lot like that Direct Assist lot from Bolton who ignored the TPS and ended up shutting down). They keep saying you can get £2,200 and ask what kind of accident you had.

Got a call telling me I was showing as owing money on their system and they had a fix for it, then they just hung up on me. I have never owed anything like that before.

Got a call from some guy named Raj about an accident I supposedly had and £2200 I’m meant to have unclaimed. Like always, I just mess around with them, pretending to be interested, saying stuff like "oh thanks, been expecting your call, really looking forward to that money coming through, we’ve all been waiting" and so on. After a while, they twigged I was just messing about and ended up hanging up. Total rubbish cold caller, just a waste of time and effort.

Some bloke from abroad rang me claiming I’m due £2000 for some accident I wasn’t involved in. When I asked if he was a lawyer, he said he was. I then told him he ought to be aware of the consequences of fraud and that I’d be reporting him to the cops, after that he just ended the call.
