Blimey, I had a right run-in with some persistent, rather clueless individuals the other day. One of them buzzed my mobile concerning the washing machine we purchased from AO.com a year back. They were keen to find out if we’d encountered any issues, given that the warranty was nearly up, and they wanted to sort things out before it expired. They insisted they weren’t trying to flog anything, though I had my doubts. When I suggested she have a chinwag with my wife about it since I barely touch the machine, and mentioned that post-six would be best, lo and behold, they called the landline just half a minute later. The next caller seemed to struggle with her words and spent the entire time arguing with me over everything I stated.
