They said they were from HMRC and told me there was a tax fraud case against me. Right from the start, they threatened arrest if I didn’t keep on with the call. But when I stayed on, they asked what help I needed. I told them they were the ones who called. Then they wanted my name and postcode, claiming they had my file. After asking a few more questions, I told them I work for the NHS and if there was any tax issue, I'd have got a letter by now. Felt like a total scam. Then the line went dead.
