Got a call from this number and they asked for me by name. As soon as I said I was the one they wanted, they just hung up. Tried ringing them back but couldn’t get through. Normally, I just ignore calls like this, but they kept calling and I thought it might be important 'cause I was waiting for another call.

I received the most peculiar phone call! A lady was on the line, proposing some complimentary Qur’an and Islam classes. Quite the unexpected chat, if you ask me!

I've come across a number of comments about dubious spam sites, and I can't help but feel a bit puzzled. Is it folks of the Muslim faith attempting to sway you, or is it just a bunch of con artists at work? It’s all a bit of a mystery, really!

I received a call from someone with a pronounced Indian accent and, to begin with, I struggled to catch what they were on about. Eventually, the conversation took a turn as they began probing whether I had ever read the Koran. Once I finally grasped what they were getting at, I couldn't help but chuckle and told them there was no way I'd entertain that notion before hanging up. Having perused several comments on scam reporting forums, I’m baffled whether these callers are some sort of Muslim zealots trying to proselytise or just your run-of-the-mill con artists looking to dupe folks.

This lady keeps ringing me about some Quran lessons. Even though I’ve blocked her number, she still manages to get through and call again. It's really annoying.

I got a call from someone trying to sell me Islam lessons, which is weird since I'm not even Muslim. When I asked how they got my number or info, they couldn't explain. It felt really fishy. I've decided to block the number now.

Someone called me out of the blue about online Quran classes, and they even knew my name and number. I didn't ask for this at all. I recently put up a car ad on Gumtree, so maybe that's where they found my information.

They started off with a Muslim greeting, then tried to pitch some glasses to me! I told them it was illegal since my number’s listed here. They said sorry, and I went ahead and blocked them.

In the past three months, this person has rung me like 7 times or more, despite me asking them over and over to quit. The bloke’s called 'Ikteshan', so when you speak to him, use that name. When I asked him for his website, he just made one up. Honestly, don't be shy to call him out when he rings - tell him straight up that what he's doing is haram.

Got a call about learning the Quran, said they found my info from some Islamic Centre in the UK but could only name my first name. When I asked if they’d taken my details from my recent Gumtree ad for Islamic stuff, the bloke just kept denying it.

I've encountered a rather suspicious phone call recently. The individuals spoke with an accent reminiscent of Bombay, feigning to be Muslims who were offering a complimentary introductory Zoom session on Arabic grammar. However, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was an American Indian lilt to their speech, which felt quite off. They provided a website called The Qur'an online home .com, instructing me to download Zoom and, intriguingly, requesting my WhatsApp number as well. It soon became apparent that they were attempting to lead me down a rabbit hole, seeking to ensnare me in a financial web to get hold of my banking information.

It seems like these con artists often harvest numbers from Gumtree. Every single time I post an ad, within minutes my phone rings, and it’s usually one of these dodgy callers. It’s utterly infuriating! 😡

I received a call today from a company I’d never heard of before. The name sounded a bit like Kalana. They mentioned something about my being registered as Muslim, which is rather baffling since I’m not. Interestingly, I’ve got an ad up on Gumtree for my car, and since then, I’ve been inundated with strange calls-things like insurance offers and messages regarding Muslims or accidents. It feels suspicious, as if they’re somehow harvesting our information.
