Got a call from a man with a strong Asian accent claiming to be from some Housing Property forum, checking on damage or damp in social or council housing (which mine definitely isn’t). He started grilling me about the condition of my home - I told him straight, this is a private property and none of his business. TOTAL SCAM, AVOID THIS NUMBER AT ALL COSTS 😠 They pretended to be from my local council about some damp issue in my house and talked about compensation. I’ve never shared my number and it’s so frustrating to get a call asking if I’m a council or housing tenant. When I asked where she had got my number from, she just said it was passed on to her. I told her to take my details off their list as I’m neither. Blocked the number straight away. I thought selling personal numbers to these companies was meant to be against the law now?

This lady called me asking if i was living in a council property. She seemed to know way too much about me and was asking what repairs were needed, telling me to email pictures to an address she gave.
