Got a call from someone claiming to be from the electric and gas provider, but I’m pretty sure it was just another spammer.

After you pick up the phone and inform the Asian-sounding individual on the line that you're not inclined to take advantage of their so-called 15% discount on fuel expenses (and after having duly provided them with all your banking information, no less), they will incessantly harass you every hour to pester you! One particular time, just before Christmas, I encountered such a call and expressed my disinterest to a chap who retained a Pakistani accent. I kindly requested that he refrain from calling me further as it was rather bothersome. However, his demeanor shifted drastically, and he retorted in a thick Cockney accent, “Listen, I’ll say this just once... F*** OFF!” before slamming the phone down. It’s quite evident to me that the initial Indian/Asian/Pakistani accent is just a front; I strongly suspect they are actually native English speakers with a twist of London twang.

Someone just got in touch pretending they were calling from npower, you know, the electric and gas folks.

I got a call from a woman asking about my electric contract, but I wasn’t having any of it. I told her I didn’t want to hear more and asked to be removed from their list. She then tried to get me to share details about my contract, which I flat out refused. Honestly, these calls are such a drain and take up way too much of my time - can’t stand them!

Received a call from someone trying to sell gas and electricity services. Just a heads-up, we're registered with TPS, so I suggest you hang up on them immediately!
