This number is definitely linked to a dubious PPI scam. They’ll claim to have a cheque waiting for you, only to attempt to swindle you out of money in exchange. Best to steer clear and not engage with them at all. I’ve already reported their activities to the Fraud office for further action.

This outfit attempted to fleece me for some cash. I wouldn't trust them if I were you-it's a complete con!

What a bunch of clowns running that PPI scam! Honestly, who do they think they're fooling?

Some bloke rang me up saying I’m owed like £2500 from some PPI thing, asked me to ring 01616609772. Seemed dodgy to me so I didn’t bother with it.

A chap of Indian heritage reached out, claiming there’s a cheque worth £2860 awaiting me, insisting I dial the 0161 number right away to sort out its delivery. I must say, I’ll be giving that a miss - this makes it the third time I’ve had the pleasure of such a call!

I recently got a call from a ‘withheld number’ suggesting I contact 01616609772 to sort out receiving a cheque for £2860. Naturally, I did a bit of digging online about the number and came across a mountain of comments. It goes without saying, I’ll be steering clear of returning the call!

This is a total scam no doubt about it. They said my mum, who's 85, got 8 calls from these two numbers claiming she has £2400 from a PPI claim. When my mum asked where they were calling from, they said Barclays Bank. Thing is, she's never even had an account with Barclays!

Received a call from 0784619105 at 1:40 PM today. Apparently, I’ve won £2,860! Right, as if! They want me to call 01616609722 to claim it. I reckon I'll pass on that one.

What a dodgy lot! My poor elderly parents received a call from them earlier today, and they were completely flummoxed. Despicable behaviour, honestly!

I received a call today from someone with an ID number stating that I was eligible for £2860. When I tried to discuss it, he mentioned he was occupied with another client and promised to ring me back in ten minutes. Sounds like a classic scam to me!

I got a phone call the other day concerning PPI, and they mentioned that I would have to fork out £50 to some courier once I rang their number. Supposedly, after that payment, I'd be eligible to receive £2860.00. Quite the odd offer, if you ask me!

Replying to the person above - I’m definitely not having doubts about this one. It’s a total scam. They told me I was meant to get a £3000 cheque from Lloyds bank, sent through a courier. Seriously, do you honestly believe a real company would ever ask for payment through iTunes cards?

Beware, this number is connected to another one (0784619105) that deals with PPI claims. Don’t trust them, it’s a total scam trying to trick you.

Received a call citing a reference number and urging me to ring back straightaway to supposedly claim a refund exceeding £2000. Quite the scam, as I’ve never taken out any loans! Quite the trickery, I must say!

I’ve just been informed that I’m entitled to a payout of £8,000 for missold PPI. What a pleasant surprise!

got a call about some ppi refund and was told to call this number for details. when i asked what company they were from, they said it was the ppi verification department. they mentioned they’d send a cheque through fed-ex but said the courier would ask for a £50 apple itunes card when they came to deliver. not sure if this sounds dodgy or legit.
