I really ought to have ignored the call, especially since my phone had flagged that Manchester number as potentially dodgy. The person on the other end was masquerading as some sort of local energy consultant, probing to see if I owned my property. It all felt rather off... He claimed to be a LOCAL advisor, yet I don't even reside remotely close to Manchester!
