I just received a phone call claiming I'd won £2,260 and was instructed to ring back a specific number. I'm not falling for that; it surely sounds like a scam to me!

Received a rather dodgy call from this number claiming I was owed £2860. The chap rattled off some reference number, but the line was so poor I could barely make out what he was saying. He promised to ring me back, but lo and behold, nothing has come through. It’s a shame how these lowlifes target those who might be a bit more vulnerable. Truly, they’re nothing but a bunch of scoundrels.

Earlier today, a chap rang me up claiming that I was due a refund of £2800, which would be delivered by courier. He instructed me to call the number above and provide my reference number. To be honest, it just didn’t sit right with me, so I decided against making the call, especially since I can't remember ever filing a PPI claim. These sorts of calls really get on my nerves! 😂

I received a rather strange call today regarding an alleged £2860 owed from their PPI probe. They provided me with a reference number and a phone number to call back. To be honest, the caller was a bit mumbly; I think she was munching away on her lunch while chatting! After that, I rang the number given, mentioned the reference, and they assured me that a certain Craig White would be popping round with my cheque in about an hour and a half. However, they mentioned I had to fork out £50 first as a sort of upfront fee. I decided to hang up at that point!

Someone mentioned that they've got a cheque of £2800 arriving via FedEx. They claimed I need to procure a £50 voucher to hand over to the delivery person when they drop off my cheque.
