Got a call the other evening, but it just went to the answerphone. Then had another ring yesterday. I always pick up my landline speaking some random foreign language. Yesterday it was Dutch. They ended up hanging up! Speaking a foreign language usually does the trick. If you don’t know any, just make one up. At least you know they won’t get what you’re saying.

Purely an annoying call. I got myself a BT call guardian phone and honestly, in the last six months, not a single spam, sales or survey call has come through. You can easily check a list of numbers that have rung you and block them permanently. Definitely worth the cash.

When I pick up, I just stay quiet and set the phone down: these calls are mostly automated and only get transferred to a "real person" (if that’s the right term) once you’ve responded. My tip is to keep silent because it messes with their robot system. I reckon Virgin Media are behind these calls since they installed my landline, and I’ve never shared my number with anyone since I use my mobile for calls. It seems Virgin are handing out our numbers and making us pay for it!

Got two calls back to back from someone speakin’ in a thick foreign accent, barely making sense in English. Sounds like dodgy scammers to me, so we’ve blocked this number using our "Call Saint" gadget. Honestly, best bit of kit we've got to stop these annoying calls - once a number’s put on the block list, it’s done and dusted! If the EU actually cared, they’d sort out these pest calls proper quick! Definitely glad we left!

I keep receiving bothersome phone calls from individuals with Indian or Asian accents, insisting that I've been involved in some kind of accident. I've made it very clear on several occasions for them to cease calling me, particularly as we're on the X Directory and signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. It’s baffling how utterly ineffective both the TPS and my rather hopeless phone provider appear to be regarding this issue! Out of sheer curiosity, I attempted to ring the number back, only to be met with a Virgin Media automated menu. This suggests it might be linked to them, possibly due to the outsourcing of their call operations to India?

Annoying calls keep coming from this number 01616434115. Honestly, why does this bloody nuisance keep ringing me even after I reported it to the TPS and my rubbish phone company loads of times? Why don't they have the means to block these calls properly? Always sounds like it's someone from India/Asia and when you ring back it’s something about Virgin damn media. Virgin Media seem to outsource their calls to Indian centres, so somehow these places get your number and just keep pestering you non-stop. We’re listed with the TPS and on the X Directory too.

Just like the other calls, pure scam, scam and more scam. dead silence on the other end, really irritating - got loads of calls. Im on the TPS list but they couldnt care less, so neither will I. I’ve reported them to the authorities for action.

I got a call from an Asian guy who had really bad English, claiming he was calling from some accident help thing. I just ignored him and didn’t say a word back. Ended the call!

Got loads of silent calls from 01616434115 back in June 2016, no idea who it was. While trying to figure it out, I stumbled upon some other website that asks you to share your own number for everyone to see - sounds dodgy to me, like another scam for sure!

Got two calls from them today, on two separate numbers - both are ex-directory and registered with the TPS. They didn’t leave a message on the business phone; when I asked about some made-up crash on the private number (which isn’t listed anywhere), they were short but not quite rude. Has anyone heard of some kind of Taser thing that can be triggered through a phone line?
