One big problem is not enough people bother to report these scam calls. If everyone reported every dodgy call or text to the UK police action fraud phishing site, they could track down the scammers more easily. Just do a quick Google search and you’ll find the right place to report it, it’s not hard.

Got a call from a bloke who didn’t mention his company, just claimed he had vouchers worth up to £30 for showing us beds. He asked if anyone at home had any medical conditions, which I said no to, then checked for other health problems, and again, none to report. He wasn’t pushy at all, once I said I wasn’t interested and had no health issues, he pretty much ended the call. A woman with an Indian accent rang me up saying she was from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. Got a call from a really nice lady with a Lancashire accent, which was a bit of a relief compared to the usual South Asian types. I wasn’t really paying much attention but caught something about £30 vouchers for the High Street and some kind of special bed offer. I told her I don’t actually go to the High Street and then wished her a good day. Pretty sure she hung up right after. It’s a bit sad she has to make a living like this when you can tell she’d probably be better off working in hospitality with her chatting skills.

I only stayed on the line a few seconds before hanging up 'cause this woman started going on about beds and gift vouchers. Just a heads up, don’t ring this number - it’s a rip-off. I just checked my bill and even though I was on the call for just 15 seconds, they charged me £1.70. Seriously, avoid calling it!

Got a call from a bloke claiming i could score some High Street vouchers if i completed a sleep survey. Next thing, he wanted to send someone over to show me a bed or something. When i asked how they even got my details, he said i'd filled out some bed-related marketing forms a while back. Told him i hadn't, and that my number’s on the TPS, so why was i being hassled? You'll probably get a couple of calls - first one trying to hook you with fake promises about some PPI payout. Then they'll call again, throwing around loads of details, like check numbers and facts, to make it sound legit. After that, they'll say you need to buy a Paysafe card, which you're supposed to give to a so-called Solicitor who's "bringing" your payment. Just before this fake solicitor shows up, they'll ring you asking for the code from the Paysafe card - which lets them steal your money and vanish. Absolute scumbags.
