They insisted it wasn’t a ploy to get me to switch providers, but rather that they were just checking if I might be overspending. They mentioned they were acting on behalf of the Government. I made it clear I wasn’t comfortable divulging any details to an unsolicited caller, and after a brief apology, they swiftly ended the call.
