This bloke called me saying there was something wrong with my computer. I asked him for his phone number but all he kept saying was that it’s showing up on my phone. When I asked again, he just repeated the same thing and then suddenly cut the call. If I’d actually told him about some computer fault, who knows what would’ve happened? Would he have charged me? And if so, how much? No idea really.

Loads of times I get random calls about my computer having issues, and the moment they start talking I can tell it’s just another con. I usually just end the call straight away and block the number after.

On 27th March 2018, I got a call from 0161 632 4378 at about 9.22 in the morning, saying there was trouble with my computer. I told them I already sent it off to be fixed. They just hung up after that. That was that.

I got a call from someone claiming my computer had issues, but I knew right away it was a scam to get personal info. So I asked, ‘Well, what brand is my computer then?’ and the guy just said, ‘It could be any brand.’ I pressed him again, pointing out he said he knew about the problem, so why not tell me the brand? Next thing, he just ended the call. Definitely a con, so watch out! Or if you fancy it, you can mess with them a bit for laughs!

I’ve had multiple calls from them and I usually try to keep them chatting for ages. Eventually, I tell them I don’t own a computer and end the call.
