8 yearsI got a call from some bloke called “ilexa” (said he was some kind of male Amazon bot or something) claiming to be ringing from an Apple Mac?? He told me to type something into Internet Explorer. I told him my computer wouldn’t let me open the site, which seemed to throw him off a bit. Then he starts telling me to hit the Microsoft key and scroll down, and asked if I could see what was on his screen. Proper dodgy and confusing all around. Of course, I didn’t do any of it - just sat there checking my emails while he kept going on. Hopefully, I wasted some of his time at least.AppleMicrosoft8 yearsGot a call from a bloke named “David” who spoke with a really thick Indian accent, and honestly I could hardly catch what he was on about. Of course, same old song about our computer having issues, then asking me to sit in front of it and do what he says - yeah, as if! The number was something like 22929?
