So it turns out these calls are supposedly from Google Ads, trying to "inform us about changes to our account." They’re annoyingly unclear about their real purpose, refuse to give a proper way to contact them back if we want, and insist on confirming account details over the phone. It all feels really dodgy. No clue how they got hold of my home phone and mobile, and they just won’t quit ringing!

Had a legit call from Google Ads, but honestly, this seems like one of the most massive scams online. Can't believe Google lets this slide. Seriously, it needs a proper look into.

Yeah, it’s really Google Ads. If you have an account, they usually call to give advice on boosting your conversions and things, but mostly what they want is for you to raise the budget on your campaigns. They’re friendly enough, though I’ve told them a couple of times we’re fine with what we’re spending for now, and if we ever want to switch things up, we’ll get in touch with them first! :D

Even tho its legit google ads calling, they use really clever tricks to get you to spend more and your results barely improve. Speaking from experience, I fell for it once. They go on and on about ‘saving money’ strategies but then quickly convince you to bump up your keyword bids by ‘only 10%’ to supposedly improve things. Trust me, dont bother. Just block the number and save yourself the hassle.

Legit call from Google Ads. Even though they used a Manchester number, the line was really poor, so likely calling from India pretending it’s local. These Google Ads folks ring me off and on and can get a bit annoying with how often they call. They suggest tweaks to your ads but honestly, it just makes you spend more without getting anything back. I reckon they’re pushing to meet some sales quotas or something.
