I've received numerous calls claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting there’s an issue with my computer due to a detected virus. They even asked for my email to confirm something or other, but before I could get a proper explanation, they'd hang up! It's becoming rather bothersome, as they've called me six times in just three days!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft’s tech support, saying my computer was throwing error alerts their way. I told her I don’t even own a PC at home, but she insisted I was lying and called me a bad person! Blocked the number again, this is the second time it’s happened.

Fed up with those annoying calls from India. They’re just fake numbers trying to trick you. Best thing is to leave them be and don’t pick up if they ring! They're definitely NOT calling from Microsoft - it's just some scam from India or somewhere like that. Can’t share the direct link here, but if you search for ‘phone calls with false origins’ on Google, you’ll find info on spoof calls easily. Keith, Manchester, 16/3/2019.

This isn't the first time I've had a call about problems with my computer, particularly something to do with Windows. As soon as I told them I don't even own a PC, they just cut the call straight away. I tried ringing the number back to figure out who's behind it or where they're calling from, but of course, the line just wouldn't go through.

Got a call from some bloke saying it was about my computer. He kept pushing to get me chatting but I wasn't having any of it. I told him to stop wasting my time and told him to jog on. I hung up and blocked the number. Then, in less than a couple hours, they rang me two more times but thanks to the block, nothing went through.

Had some trouble with my laptop and these lot just kept going on for ages. The call was definitely not for me, despite their claims about my phone bill. When I refused to follow their instructions, they turned nasty quite quickly. Can't imagine any proper customer service behaving like that. Eventually got fed up and ended the call.

So this bloke claiming to be from Microsoft called me to say my PC had issues. I told him straight up I don’t even own a Microsoft machine, but he kept going, asking if I was sat at it right now. When I said there’s no way I’d let him near my computer, calling me out for being daft, he actually told me “you are stupid, you are because.” I just hung up on him. No real customer service rep would ever be that rude. I never bought his story for a moment 🤨 I’ve blocked the number now but I guess they’ll just ring from a new one next time.

This number kept ringing me for a few days. I finally picked up today. The caller was a man with a foreign accent claiming to be from the Windows Support Team. He said he wanted to explain why my device was having loads of tech problems. I told him I only use a tablet, no computer, and he just ended the call straight away.

I found that if you blow a really loud police whistle at them, they tend to drop the call quickly. These dodgy scam calls keep coming because crooks can still rent virtual numbers without much fuss. I've tried getting our MP involved but they just won’t do anything about it. It’s scary for older folks who’re now afraid to pick up their phones. I’ve heard of some people losing a ton of money because of it.

Got a call from a woman pretending to be from Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my computer. I explained I use a company laptop and have an IT team there, so I'll reach out to them instead. She just said "alright, thanks" and hung up. I guess she was fairly polite about it. I've blocked the number now, but I’m certain they’ll be ringing back again soon. :(

Got a call from someone claiming to be a "Windows tech" about my computer. Thing is, I don’t even use Windows, so I replied with a bit of sarcasm like, "Oh yeah, right." After that, they just kept pushing harder, trying to get me to give them remote access.

Oh, it was definitely one of those Microsoft scams, they claimed they were calling from the tech team at "miercrosoft" or something like that. I didn’t mince my words and let them know exactly how dodgy I thought their scam was. They were pretty rude about it and just slammed the phone down on me. Shame, I had a whole bunch of other choice words lined up for the scammer!

Thought it was quite kind of them, so I let the bloke give it a go. Tried doing all the stuff he asked for, but no way could I dig up the info he wanted. Should’ve probably mentioned earlier that I’m on a Mac, not a PC, ha! Bet he wasn’t too chuffed when I clocked the whole thing straight away and pulled one over on him!
