Somebody rang me and said they'd got my info from an online form I supposedly filled out on their site. They went on about a global database or something like that, saying if I signed up with them, they'd take me off that list and stop other numbers from calling me. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from them pushing an upgrade that apparently could only be done right then and there on the phone. Felt pretty pressured so I told them I’d rather pop into a branch to see what’s available. They kept insisting it was the best offer and I had to accept straight away. I just said no thanks and hung up. Later on, I visited the branch and ended up snagging a way better deal than what was pushed over the phone.

JD answered the phone and asked, "Who’s this then?" The caller said, "It’s Pra. Am I speaking to John Day?" JD replied, "No can do, I don’t share personal details with unknown callers. Gotta keep things secure, you know, data protection and all." Pra said, "Alright, cheers for your time," and hung up. That was that.
