They claimed to be from some government agency, but as soon as I mentioned that I already have coverage, they just hung up on me!

Got a call yesterday and then another one today from some bloke saying he was with the “road accident team”. Definitely a scam trying to trick me into thinking I’d get compensation for a car crash I never had. Just blocked the number straight away.

I got two calls from this number, one yesterday and one today. I answered both times but no one said a word. My tip? If you pick up a call from a number you don’t recognise, don’t say anything first. A genuine caller usually starts with a “hello” or something. Otherwise, it’s probably one of those auto diallers waiting for you to talk so it can connect you to someone else.

Got two calls from the same number today, just ignored both.

This number kept ringing me non-stop during my shift. When I finally picked up, the person on the other end claimed I’d been in a car crash - which is totally false. They mentioned the company they supposedly represented, but it didn’t sound familiar at all. I asked for more info, like what car I was driving, just to see how they’d react. Suddenly they got super irate and just slammed the phone down. I decided to block the number. Honestly, it’s so annoying to not get a peaceful day at work thanks to nonsense like this.
