Got a call claiming to be from BT about broadband issues, which is funny because I'd already flagged a problem using BT's own speed checker online. When they asked if I had a laptop ready, I said no and they just hung up on me straight away. That’s not something BT engineers would ever do. Then my phone rang twice more, each time from a different number than the first, both times going to voicemail but no messages left - which BT would usually do if it was genuine. Seems like it was a couple of dodgy scammers trying their luck.

Got a call from some Lifestyle pension firm, there was loads of noise in the background like a busy office or something. They wanted to talk about a pension transfer I supposedly did back in 2017 into a SIP because they reckoned I’d lost some money. They asked for me by my first name. I told her straight up I hadn’t put any money into a SIP. She then asked if I had ever moved a pension and ended up losing cash. I explained I’d moved a pension before but with proper financial advice and actually made quite a profit. She thanked me for chatting and then ended the call.

Got a call from this number but my phone never actually rang, maybe my network spotted it as dodgy and blocked it. When I looked into it, turns out this number is connected to loads of scams. They try all sorts: asking for details about your phone’s security, telling you you’ve been in a car crash, even trying to get secure codes for private stuff. One person mentioned they got their accounts cleaned out after handing over some info. Total scam, so my advice is to just block and ignore!

Had two calls from 0161549 9463 today. Both times, the bloke sounded northern. The first one claimed to be my local electricity company, but I quickly told him to buzz off.
