Got a couple of calls from this number earlier today. They were trying to sell me a government scheme for a new boiler, instantly sounded dodgy. I decided to have a bit of fun and asked the guy, who I think was Indian, if he could recommend any nice curry spots in Delhi. He said I was being rude, so I switched it up and asked about kebab places instead... then he just hung up on me. Was just being polite and curious, honestly! 😂

Got a call from a bloke called Stephen, sounded like he had a strong Indian accent. He asked for me specifically, saying there was some government programme to swap out my boiler. Sounds dodgy to me - don’t hand over your info to these people, they’re just after ripping you off and probably passing your details on to other scammers from call centres in Mumbai or Kolkata. Stay sharp!

If you think the Government shares anything, they're joking, so why expect free boilers? I answered when they asked for Mr (my surname) but told them no such person here. She didn’t bother asking who I was, just launched into the boiler spiel. Had a faint Indian accent, spoke perfect English and was really polite - probably her first time doing this job.

Pretty obvious con going on here. Got two calls from what looked like a Manchester number, but the people on the line were speaking with a heavy Mumbai twang. Tried blocking the number but my phone said it was ‘invalid’, which just made me more suspicious of how dodgy the whole thing was.
