They rang me like 4 times but just kept going to the answerphone, no message left either. Seen the reports so i've blocked the number now. They even called twice in a couple hours.

its a callcentre working for other companies pushing energy deals, ppi claims and stuff like that. they grab your info and then send it back to whoever hired them, and that company will call you up trying to sell something. they phoned me today pretending to be from the Tax Office saying they were sorting out a tax refund from old PPI payments, but actually they just want to check your details so they can pass you onto a PPI firm as a lead.

I tried ringing the number back and it just went to an automated voice saying to hold on, with some music playing in the background. I've been waiting on the line for over an hour now. Just a moment ago, the automated voice said goodbye and then hung up on me. After reading all the comments, I reckon I’m just gonna block this number.
