These energy scams are such a pain. Honestly, the only way to get the cops, OfCom and the government to properly tackle this is for us to flood the systems used to report these dodgy calls. Right now, hardly anyone actually reports them. They say barely a tiny sliver of a percent of all scam calls (including the silent ones or those you just ignore) ever get logged. It was an automated call with a woman speaking in an English accent, including breaks for replies to make it seem like an actual chat. The message was about savings on solar power. Got a ring from this number at about 1.25pm, but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know it. After seeing what others have said, I’m relieved I ignored it. Got a call from this number today. The guy started by saying I might have heard on the BBC that everyone's meant to be selling their houses to pay for care when they're older. I just cut the chat there. I reported it to TPS but they said there’s no company linked to this number, so they couldn’t do anything about it.

A bloke who sounded quite polite said his name was Alex, rang me about care homes and selling your house to pay for fees. When I asked him what happens if someone lives on their own and the only way to pay for care is by selling their house, he was left speechless. Pretty clear this was a scam, the way the caller behaved was nothing like a proper business call.

Cant stand how often they keep ringing. Had at least three tries today alone but didnt pick up any of them. So frustrating!

Someone rang me saying their name was Alex and claimed they worked for some group that helps stop your house from being sold to cover health care expenses if you need long-term care. He mentioned that a lawyer from their team would get in touch again tomorrow.

09:37 on 8th Jan 2024. Got a call from this number, some bloke sounded posh but never said who he was. Started rambling about 'government plans' or summat. Didn’t hang about, just ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier today, Monday 8th January 2024. After checking it out, I decided to block it straight away.

Somebody called me claiming to be from Estate Planning UK in London, saying they’d arrange a call back tomorrow to chat about ways to dodge care home fees. They asked if I owned my home, then wanted my name. When I asked why, they said it was so they’d get it right when they called back. I told them I wasn’t happy talking as it was a complete surprise and the call might be a scam. Then I just said I didn’t want to keep going and hung up.

They called me claiming to be from some medical lifeline service, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam. Seemed fishy the way they asked for personal info right off the bat. Definitely don’t trust calls like that!
