Sounds like it came from a call centre, I could hear all that usual background chatter. Nobody actually said a word though! When I phoned the number back, a weird voice told me "this number doesn't exist". Lucky I didn’t just go with the auto redial and instead dialled 1471 to check the number. Feels dodgy, might be some kind of scam. Watch out for this one.

Watch out, these lot are just after your info to scam you! Never hand over any personal details. I reckon they’ve already got my name, address and phone number - using it to gather more stuff for their dodgy schemes. They claimed to be calling from the Postcode Lottery and started with some harmless questions, then said they’d be adding a tiny amount, like £0.01, into my bank. Then they asked which account to use for the payment! Once I refused to share any account info, the call was cut off on their end.

I got a call from this number and it turned out to be a total scam. The person said they were from the Postcode Lottery and claimed I’d won some kind of 50% discount on shopping. Then they asked for my email and what bank I use, which felt dodgy straight away so I just hung up. I also found out later that this number is linked to a scam related to Amazon Prime too!
