Just got a call from 02, they said they had me on their list and tried to pitch me an offer or summat. Bit strange as I didn't expect it!

They sell your info, honestly. As soon as you pick up, they mark your number as active and pass it around. Best not to pick up calls from numbers you don’t know. Just let the answerphone sort out any genuine calls for you.

twice today i had calls from someone saying they were from 02. on the second time, i actually got through to 02 myself and they denied making the call. the person on the phone was going on about some amazing deal just for me, but the moment i mentioned i'd already checked with 02, they quickly ended the call.

Should you receive a call from these con artists, who have the cheek to request your name and the final three digits of your phone number, my advice is to steer clear of engaging with them. I let one of them prattle on, and when I mentioned that she was chatting with a police officer, they quickly hung up! Don't divulge any information; it's simply not worth the risk. The caller claimed to be from Oldham, but I've since blacklisted their number. Best to remain vigilant and not let them catch you off guard!

When I answered, I could hear a bunch of people chatting away in the background, but none of them actually said anything to me. Pretty sure they dialled the wrong number.

been getting loads of calls from 0161543 0123, 0125, 0127, and 0128 just today - missed about 7 of em in total. every time i pick up, they just hang up straight away. really annoying!
