Totally a scam. They keep asking stuff but never say how they actually save energy, and then claim they don’t want you to switch energy providers. They don’t recommend cavity wall insulation, no air source heat pumps, double glazing, or solar panels either. When I asked for details, they just ended the call. Definitely not a proper company. Just hang up and block them straight away.

Got a call from a woman called Nichola, who actually sounded quite posh for once. She said some bloke who’s a “heating efficiency agent” would pop round tomorrow for about 15 minutes since he’d be in the neighbourhood. Apparently, he’d have all his ID on him and would check out the place to give tips on saving energy. Honestly, it’s like something out of a daft story!

Got a call from a woman who sounded really persuasive, but it was obvious she was trying to trap people into some dodgy energy discount deal 🤢🤢🤢 Honestly, she’d be better off getting a proper job than messing about like those scammy folks from India and Nigeria 😞

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Direct Energy, said they team up with utility providers to help folks cut down on their energy costs. She wanted to run through a quick 5-question survey to check if I was eligible. I just told her I wasn’t interested. She was a nice lady with a friendly tone and a bit of a north-west accent.

I was upstairs when the phone rang and kept going on for ages, but it stopped before I could pick it up. After reading what others have said, I’m really relieved I didn’t actually answer it.

This number called claiming to be from Energy Direct, asking if I wanted to save on my energy bills. Definitely a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Wouldn’t trust it at all.

Just got a ring from this number a short while ago. Usually, I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know and let them go to voicemail, thinking if it’s urgent they’d leave a message. This time, they hung up straight away. After looking it up here, I reckon it’s probably a scam. Going to block it now.

I reckon it’s illegal for cold callers to get in touch with you, isn’t it? So why on earth is it still going on? This lot claim to be from Energy Direct Ltd. It seems like a dodgy call centre over in Manchester. Best advice? Don’t bother calling them back - you’ll wind up shelling out per minute!
