Just had a call from 01618327266 claiming to be HM Revenue & Customs. The caller said if I didn’t press 1, I’d be arrested for fraud. I know HMRC never use automated calls like that - definitely a scam!

Got a call about how funerals are getting more expensive, and this was right in the middle of the coronavirus mess. Honestly, what a bunch of sleazy people!

They kept ringing so many times and I didn’t pick up at first. When I finally did, no one was on the other end. Later that day, they called again and when I answered, the bloke gave me some random name, obviously old info. I told him it wasn’t me, but he insisted it was and said, “Hi, it’s Jacqueline, you gave me your number down the pub a few nights ago.” Yeah, right! Asked him to remove my number, but he said he couldn’t. Ended up hanging up and blocked the number straight away!
