I got a ring from 020 3137 4864 and when I asked for a callback number, they told me to ring 0161 532 3894. They said they were from the "Energy Advice Centre" and wanted to inspect my loft insulation to see if it was causing condensation. Funny thing is, they didn’t know my name or where I lived, and couldn’t provide any website or further info about themselves. Definitely felt a bit off.

Watch out, this is definitely a con. When I asked a dodgy energy caller (07458149319) for a number I could ring back, they gave me 01615323894. Do yourself a favour and block that number, don't answer or call it.

Without a doubt, this caller is a dodgy spammer looking to send one of their agents over to my place to have a gander at my loft. When I pressed them for a legitimate website or their registered company number, they simply hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

A bloke called me and convinced me to set up a “no commitment” meeting about insulation. When I tried ringing the number he gave to cancel, it just said “number unreachable”. Then the next day, he rang me from a different mobile trying to check the appointment, but whenever I asked about what exactly they were offering, the price, or the service itself, he just didn’t give me straight answers. He also kept saying my wife had to be there for the appointment, which put me off, so I told him I wasn’t interested anymore.
