I keep getting calls almost every day from this same number and a bunch of others. They sound like they’re supposed to be from some landline company but never actually say who they are or where they’re calling from. Pretty sure these are just scammers from India trying to trick people.

Got a call again from this number today - some guy named Paul, sounded like he was calling from some call centre in India but wouldn’t tell me who he was or what company he’s with. As soon as I asked, he just hung up on me. These scam calls are getting really annoying now.

This is the second occasion I’ve had to report this number. Today, a man claiming to be Alex from Reliable Appliance Repairs called. He insisted there was a standing payment of about £9 coming out of my bank, even gave the bank name and the last four digits of my account. I told him there was no such payment, which I keep an eye on daily, and there definitely hadn't been any payments to that company from me. He then started getting quite aggressive and impolite. I’ve now reported the whole thing to BT as a scam.

Just like the previous experience, this caller didn’t utter a word initially before asking how I was doing. I promptly inquired about the reason for their call. They then brought up some sort of appliance, which prompted me to hang up immediately. Upon checking, I realised it was yet another one of those shady numbers I’d noted before, albeit with a couple of digits swapped around.

I've received calls from this number once or twice, claiming to be from Reliable Appliances. They insist that I have some sort of insurance with them and are trying to tempt me with a 40% discount on a year's coverage for my washing machine, television, and fridge freezer. On both occasions, I requested more information in writing about the so-called cover, which I simply can't recall. Subsequently, they asked for my banking details. It baffles me how some individuals can act like this. Just today, I've come to the realisation that this is nothing short of a scam.
