I received a phone call from someone with quite a distinct accent that sounded foreign. Their English was rather choppy, to say the least. They introduced themselves as being from the Credit Investigation department and insisted that we needed to have a chat regarding some supposed unpaid debts I had. What utter rubbish! I don't owe anything to anyone!

I didn’t pick up, got a call from a number that was pretty much the same an hour before. I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise. My voicemail even says if you don’t leave a message, I’ll block you. Of course, since neither left a message, I’ve blocked them both now.

Got a call about something to do with "unsecured debt" - it just felt dodgy, like one of those scam or spam calls. Definitely didn’t sound legit to me.

Haha, I must say, I do find it rather amusing to toy with these scammers! It all kicked off with a cheeky call: "Hello Mr Dias, we've come across your details regarding debt consolidation, a government-affiliated service. Would you mind sharing your personal information?" To which I retorted, "If you've already got my information on your screen, why would I need to spill any more? I think you might be mistaken, as Mr Dias isn't available at the moment; he's currently engaged elsewhere." And just like that, they simply terminated the call!
