Received an unsolicited telephone call promoting a complimentary loft insulation assessment.

I got a call from someone saying I was listed on some database for having fibreglass insulation in my loft, and that I could get a grant to have it replaced. When I asked them which database and where they got the details about my loft insulation from, they just hung up. Definitely a scam.

I can't say for certain, but I suspect it might have been a dodgy call. The voice had that robotic tone, and they inquired about my loft insulation, which struck me as odd.

Got a call from a lady about some insulation work. Whether it was dodgy or not, I’m not a fan of random cold calls anyway. I just told her I’d recently had it done to get rid of her quick. They don’t seem like decent folks, so I honestly don’t feel bad fibbing to them!

Feel sorry for genuine businesses with numbers like that - they must be missing out big time. Honestly, what’s BT playing at, letting this mess go on?

Had a call from someone claiming to be raising money for Hamas. They spoke with a proper British accent, quite convincing. Don’t be naive and fall for it. I just ended the call and blocked the number.
