Got a call saying it was EE and I supposedly had a debt with them. Thing is, I’m not even with EE. When I told them that, the call just cut off straight away. Bit suspect if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE with an extra 30% off deal, but it smelt fishy. My son-in-law actually works at EE and told me they don’t use call centres in India. The woman who rang me had awful English accents that wouldn’t pass at EE, so definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone who claimed to be with EE, but they didn’t even know my name and their English was terrible. Pretty clear it was a scam. When I called them out on it, they just hung up - no way EE would behave like that.

Got a call from this number and I reckon it’s probably some sort of scam, best just to give it a miss.

The caller claimed to be from 02, but I wasn’t convinced and told them so, then they just ended the call. It definitely seemed like it was coming from some overseas call centre.

First they claimed they were from my current network, then switched to saying they were with Sky. They offered me a 40% discount on bills and asked for the amount of my last bill. I told her to confirm it first, and then I would say if it’s right. She got a bit touchy and insisted she had my info and needed me to verify. I said I’d ring Sky myself to check, and she kept saying she had my details. I pointed out the number she called from wasn’t listed under Sky, and suddenly she went quiet. Bye bye, scammer!

Some dodgy guy from around Asia was on the phone asking for my bank info, claiming it was just to take 1 quid for a phone upgrade that was meant to be free. Yeah right, mate. Maybe you should think about getting a real job instead of pulling stunts like that.

I got a call from this number and they just dropped the line like 2 secs after I picked up. Also, this morning around 10:52am I had a ring from 0161 524 1815. It seemed like some kind of call centre noise in the back but no one actually talked to me for about 15 seconds before it cut out.

First they claimed to be calling from Apple, which I ignored and ended the call. Then they tried to convince me they were from HMRC. Come on, if you’re gonna lie, at least stick to one story...

This number just rang me and claimed it was from EE, but I’m not an EE customer. When I asked them to tell me their name and address since they said I was with EE, I told them if they knew I was with EE they should already know my details. After that, I ended the call.

Got two calls from someone saying they're from Three, trying to say they could reduce my monthly bill. They wanted my name and the type of phone I use. When I asked if they were trying to scam me, they just ended the call. Sounded like an Indian guy, definitely dodgy since they didn’t even know my name or any details.

Got a call from some Indian call centre claiming to be from 3, offering the new iPhone 15 for just £25 a month! When I asked for proof of who they actually were, they just ended the call on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Three, trying to sell me an iPhone deal for £200 a month. When I told them I’d just bought a new phone, they switched to pushing a "better deal" on a sim-only plan. They said I’d pay just £8 for unlimited calls and data, which was cheaper than what I had now. Then they asked how much I was paying currently. Made no mention of my name or contract details, so it was pretty clear they weren’t actually from Three.

Got a call saying they're from EE offering me some sort of discount. They then asked how much I usually pay each month. I only pay about £6 monthly and thought if they were legit EE, they’d already have that info. Told them just that, and they ended the call straight away. Afterwards, I looked up the number and found loads of similar stories.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from Oxford, then after about 5 minutes they rang me again but this time it showed a Manchester number. Definitely dodgy lot, don’t pick up! They’re involved in all sorts of scams, mainly investments, and from what I’ve heard they're a big criminal gang with folks from Turkey and India. Stay safe everyone!

I rang back and this English woman answered saying they were calling about payments for a business. When I asked what payments exactly, she just said she didn’t know and there was nothing noted in their system. Strange thing is, she did know my name but couldn’t give me any details. Bit fishy if you ask me!
