I received a call from a chap with a British name but an Indian accent, claiming to represent a computer maintenance firm based in St Johns, London. He mentioned that my system had been harbouring harmful software for a fortnight and asked me to power up my computer. I can't help but suspect they wanted to get their hands on my machine to install some dodgy software instead... When I tried returning the call, I got the rather alarming message that the number was not recognised. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
