Someone claiming to be customs rang me and said I had to ring them back with a solicitor or I’d face legal trouble. The weirdest part was their voice sounded like it was done by a computer, like some text-to-speech thing. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Beware of HMRC scams, best not to pick up. Make sure you report it to both Action Fraud and HMRC straight away. Also, get in touch with COLT Technologies on 020 7390 3900 - they’re the ones forwarding these scam calls. You need to demand they take off the tenant renting those lines because the company providing these calls is profiting from it, and it’s got to stop!!!

I got a call from 01615214837 claiming to be some HMR revenue thing. The voice was fully automated and honestly sounded dodgy from the start. As soon as the automated message started saying who ‘she’ was and that I needed to ring back, I got really suspicious. Feels like one of those scams - watch out!

This morning around 9:22, I got a recorded message from someone saying they were officer Dennis Gray. There was no mention of any reference number or even the company they were calling from. The message was all about threatening legal steps if I didn’t call back. Felt quite dodgy to me.

Got a voicemail on my husband’s mobile, some person pretending to be from HMRC. They finished the message with something like, ‘if you don’t phone us back, you’ll have serious legal troubles’.
