i usually just ignore calls from unknown numbers, if it was really urgent they’d leave a voicemail. this number’s rung me a bunch of times without leaving any messages, so i’m guessing it’s nothing major. i’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call today at 1.25pm from someone saying they were from HMRC, telling me there’s criminal charges coming my way. They left a voicemail telling me to call them back. The voice was so fake sounding, definitely not how HMRC talk. Total scam alert!

today on 07.10.20 at about 12:42 i received a call from someone saying they were from hmrc, telling me there was some criminal case against me and to ring them back on this specific number. knowing hmrc doesn't contact people like that, it’s clearly a scam.
