Received a call earlier today from 01615 202 635, a man with an Indian accent saying his name was David. He said he worked for Infinity and tried to push some phone blocking service on me. He kept asking for my full name and address, which I wasn’t comfortable giving out. I mentioned I’m on the TPS list and warned him that if this was a scam he’d be breaking regulations. I asked him to send me the info through the post instead. After a bit of back and forth, he got quite frustrated and just hung up.

A rather dubious chap rang my home phone today at 10:25, insisting that my credit card had lapsed. He claimed to be representing a call blocking service, demanding that I confirm my identity, presumably via my credit card details. I pointed out that I never subscribed to any paid TPS service, which, to be honest, doesn’t seem to filter out all the nuisance calls anyway. He insisted that I had indeed paid for their service through a Direct Debit. I rebutted that I had no such arrangement for any call-blocking service whatsoever. He then argued that it was included on my phone bill! When I questioned why he required my credit card number if that were the case, I informed him that I had no desire to continue this pointless conversation. I ended the call promptly. On another occasion, I received a call from 02894601091 on the 26th of August at 11:26, which I also terminated, yet they've been incessantly ringing me every day since. I’ve recognised the number and simply ignore their calls now, all the while keeping records of these dates and times. IF ONLY SOMEONE COULD PUT AN END TO THIS!

It instructed me to press 9 if I wished to unsubscribe from their calling list. It all felt quite dodgy, so I decided to hang up without pressing any buttons or engaging in conversation.
