I got a call from a lady in America who was trying to sell me some dodgy insulation stuff, but I turned her down. She didn’t bother leaving a message on my answerphone though.

Just got a ring from a woman using this number (0161 520 2412), saying something about dangerous roof insulation and offering a free survey. I told her straight up, "Yeah right, no thanks!" and ended the call. I’ve blocked the number since. Definitely seems like a dodgy outfit trying to pull a fast one, so watch out for them.

I just got a call from someone saying I’d been in a car crash sometime in the past three years. That’s not true at all, I’ve been fine! Seems like they were just seeing if I’d fall for it.

lately it seems like loads of these calls try to dodge the uk ban on cold calls coming from investment companies. they say they're just a marketing agency and that they got my info from some promo i supposedly answered before, but that’s always a lie. i’m thinking of complaining to the fca, hoping they might get tougher rules about this sort of thing.
