Got a call from 0161 520 2300 around 6.50pm on Saturday. The person on the line had an Asian accent and said they were from Virgin Mobile. Lately, I’ve had about six calls like this from different landline numbers that seemed legit. Virgin Mobile told me their reps only ever ring from 0800 numbers, so these calls are definitely dodgy.

She even asked how much my bill usually is. That’s a clear sign they’re fakes - if they really were Virgin Media, they’d already have that info. Definitely dodgy!

Got a call from an unknown number and stayed quiet at first. There was a really long pause. When I finally tried to respond, the line was so bad I couldn't understand a thing, but they mentioned something about a deal or discount, so I just figured it was my phone company. Told them I wasn’t in a position to pay for extra stuff. They kept talking nonsense, and I was being polite the whole time. Then, halfway through, the call just ended on their side. Tried to block the number only to see I already had. How the heck did they manage to ring me anyway? Proper rude behaviour.

I received a peculiar call from an Indian gentleman who kept probing about a supposed accident I’ve never experienced. He repeatedly insisted that his records indicated I was due some sort of compensation. Very strange indeed!

Got a call from some guy at 7:46 in the evening, which is odd since most businesses around here shut early. He had a strong Indian accent and I couldn’t make out a word of what he was saying. When I told him I didn't catch what he was on about, he just cut me off right away.
