Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I answered just to see what would happen and the person on the other end just kept muttering away without really saying anything to me. After a while, they gave up and hung up. I’ve blocked the number now.

This one’s a shared cost line and I’ve seen loads of numbers almost the same, just swapping out a digit or two at the end. Looks like it’s just one call centre behind them all. Don’t bother ringing them back, whoever they are - it'll cost you. Why do businesses still use these premium numbers for telemarketing? Surely there must be some legit reason other than scams? Has anyone actually spoken to someone on these or ones like it? Maybe there’s something useful there, but they never left a message so no chance I’m calling back.

Since I clicked on this dodgy link for some Galaxy Chocolate Prize around Easter 2022, I've been swamped with calls from numbers I don’t know. I answered one from a bloke claiming he was Virgin Media, and he had the nerve to ask for my password! Of course, I didn’t fall for that. He kept asking for more info, but clearly, he didn’t have any details about my account. Total scammer, no doubt. The number 01615202281 is just the most recent stranger to ring me. Proper annoying, so I’ve blocked it now.

Got a ring from this number earlier today, some bloke trying to sell me the newest sim and WiFi packages. Told him I wasn’t bothered and then he ended the call with some rude comment about wanting to, well, get intimate. Proper disgusting behaviour!
