They’re pretending to be part of the Lambeth housing disrepair initiative.
They rang the landline of a private residence. The caller became a tad frustrated when I was reluctant to share too much information and pressed them on the reason for their call before they abruptly ended the conversation.

Got a call from some stranger who didn’t know which council I rent off or where I live. They kept calling me by my first name, bit odd as it wasn’t the first time. Luckily I’ve got a call blocker that flagged it as “possible scam.” I only answered ’cause my partner told me to just check who it was. They were chatting about damp issues and some repairs that supposedly needed doing. I just let out a loud whistle down the line - hope they got the hint! Didn’t give them anything but a headache, that’s for sure.
