Watch out for this one! They said they were from the Lambeth housing disrepair scheme but rang the landline of a private home. When I wasn’t giving much info, the caller got a bit annoyed and asked why I was even answering the phone, then just hung up on me. Definitely best to steer clear.

They were chatting about damp issues and some repairs that supposedly needed doing. I just let out a loud whistle down the line - hope they got the hint! Didn’t give them anything but a headache, that’s for sure.

Got a call from this firm saying they assist tenants of housing associations and councils with chasing up repairs that have been dragging on too long. They said it's a no win no fee deal. The sales pitch was pretty forceful, but they insisted it wasn't a cold call since they don't ask for any bank info themselves - apparently the solicitors handle all the money stuff, not them. Bit iffy if you ask me.
