Some bloke said he was from Legal and General. He seemed to know a few things about me, so I played along for a while. Then he wanted my DOB, but I told him I wasn’t giving that out. He threatened that my mortgage and life insurance cover would be cancelled and told me not to bother ringing them after it happened. Then he just hung up on me.

A man called himself Alex Wilson and claimed my life insurance needed updating. Lots of other insurance firms have rung me about new policies recently, and honestly, I’m not looking for any more. He told me the one he was offering had some “extra benefits,” so I asked what they were. I don’t reckon English was his first language, and with my strong Glaswegian accent, I had to say things a couple of times. I think he thought I was messing about or something because suddenly he started swearing and calling me names, saying I could’ve just hung up. Then he just ended the call. If I’d met him in person? Well, I’d probably have given him a proper Glasgow welcome.

Got a call from what sounded like my bank saying there’s a big purchase they need to approve. They asked me to hit 1 if I wanted to stop it and 2 if I was okay with going ahead.

Has anyone picked up when this number rings? Got a couple of missed calls from it recently, reckon it's some kind of robo call from a call centre just checking if my number is active. I usually avoid answering calls from numbers I don't know, and there wasn't any voicemail left. Tried searching online to find out who they could be, but no luck so far. Anyone got a clue who it might be?
