4 yearsGot a call from Virgin Media claiming I could get a 30% discount. They asked me what my last bill was, and I said surely they should already have that info. They kept saying they were from promotions, so I gave them the amount just to see where this was going. Then they tried to tell me what my future bill would be and asked me to spell my name. I asked to speak to a supervisor instead and got someone else. I told them it sounded like a scam since they called me and should know my details already - if they can’t even say the word, maybe they can guess it if I give them some letters of my address or whatever. Then they started asking for my date of birth, and I asked why that was needed. They said it was to confirm my info, but Virgin Media wouldn’t ask for that, I’m sure. I told them I’d ring Virgin Media myself to check if this was legit, and if not, I don’t want any calls again. Both had Indian accents and seriously lacked professionalism, raising their voices and insisting it wasn’t a scam and that they didn’t want my bank details.
