I tried ringing a number that came up as Manchester, but the company said it was a council spot in Hereford with a four-letter name. A caller claimed to be from Virgin Media and wanted to know what I was paying at the moment. I told them if they really were from Virgin Media, they’d already have that info. They then tried to offer me a deal on my package and asked for my postcode. I pointed out again that if they were legit, they’d have that too. After I said I wasn’t going to share any personal details over a random call, they just cut me off straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Currys PC World, really pushy about signing me up for new mobile deals. I just ended the call straight away. The person sounded Indian and said they had offers from Vodafone and EE. Reading some of the other reviews here, it might be a scam trying to get your personal details for fraud or something dodgy like that. Definitely seems suspicious.
