Got a call from 0161 520 2577 a moment ago. It started ringing but ended the call before I had a chance to block it. From what I’ve seen on here, this number might be linked to a scam.

I got a call from some bloke with a really thick Indian accent, claiming he was from a company I have never heard of before. The whole thing felt dodgy to me, like it could easily be a scam. The line was really poor too, making it even harder to understand him properly.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be from a phone company, trying to sell me cheap mobile deals and new phones for £35 a month. I told her I already purchased a phone, but she just kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me finish. Seemed like a total scam to grab my details. Eventually she just dropped the call. Then a nearly identical number rang me the following day but I didn’t pick up.

Some dodgy caller rang me and I picked up, but they seemed to have no clue what I was saying. So I told them it was the police on the line. Bit cheeky, but they ended the call straight away!

So, this person called claiming to be from a phone provider. They said there was a £10 upfront fee for a brand new iPhone and then £35 each month for unlimited calls, texts, and data. I pretended to be interested at first. Then, the woman said she needed to get her manager to approve the payment. A bloke then came on the line, so I just put the call on mute and stopped listening.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin Media offering a 30% discount on my bill. When they asked how much I usually pay, I said they should already know that. The guy then claimed he was from the customer service team, not billing. Honestly, I just ended the call after that 🙄🙂

This number called me claiming to be Virgin Media. They asked how much I’m paying at the moment, and I said they’d have that info if they really were Virgin Media. Then they tried to offer me a discount and asked for my postcode. I told them again they’d already know it if they were legit. I also said I’m not sharing any personal details with unsolicited calls, and they hung up straight away. I rang the number back and found it’s actually linked to a children’s charity called aTLC. It’s awful how scammers can spoof other organisations’ numbers like this. Hope nobody else falls for their tricks.

This number called me again, dont think its legit. The signal was really bad and i could just about make out something about virgin media. I told them i couldnt hear properly and they just ended the call straight away. Definitely dodgy.

I got a call from someone who claimed she was representing Muslim Aid, some charity or something. She sounded like she wasn’t from around here, had a bit of a foreign accent. I even noticed a bloke in the background whispering instructions to her. Didn’t feel right, so I just ended the call.
