Just got a call on my home phones, both registered with the TPS. They said they could ‘improve blocking of scam calls’ or something like that. Then they went on asking for my phone bill info to set it up. Definitely a con. I told them, ‘If your service is supposed to block scams, how come this call is happening then?’ The guy with an accent from the Indian subcontinent just told me to hang up in a pretty rude way. Totally sketchy!

Received a call from this number just now. An Indian woman informed me that my phone charges would be dropping starting next month. When I probed further about which telecom provider she represented, she abruptly ended the call.

This number 0161 520 1971 has called me a couple of times today, first around 8:30 in the morning and then again at half past two in the afternoon. Each time I answered, the caller just hung up straight away. Strange behaviour!

Got a call from someone saying they’re with Opton Telecom and wanted me to leave BT. Problem is, I don’t even have BT as my provider! Felt like a weird sales push outta nowhere.

Got a dodgy call from someone saying they’d switch my landline to a cheaper deal, but how’s that even possible when my line’s fibre and not through BT? Seems fishy to me!

I use call screening so the caller was sent straight to voicemail and they never left any message. After looking it up here, I've decided to block the number.

Got a call saying I had to update my call blocking, sounded dodgy to me. Definitely a scam, don't fall for it!

I called the number and as soon as I said "scammer," he got really angry. I hung up but could still hear him shouting in the background. Definitely a dodgy caller.
